Job summary

Washington National Cathedral seeks an Associate Director of Prospect Development to provide strategic leadership for prospect management and data-driven fundraising strategies. You will oversee research, moves management, and portfolio development to build a strong donor pipeline across individuals and foundations.

In collaboration with senior leadership and the Development team, you will shape donor engagement plans, maintain data integrity, and guide cross-team efforts to advance fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years fundraising operations and prospect research.
• Experience with major gifts and portfolio management.
• Proficiency with donor research tools (Raiser’s Edge, iWave, LexisNexis).
• Strong confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead prospect development and moves management for major gifts.
• Oversee research, profiling, and portfolio development.
• Develop reports and dashboards to monitor the pipeline.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate data into fundraising strategies.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of donor information.
