Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Manager in Aurora, CO, onsite, to lead and manage complex aerospace programs. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing cost, schedule, and technical performance, and maintaining strong customer relations with the government and internal stakeholders.

The candidate should have 12+ years of relevant experience or 10+ with an advanced degree, strong program tools proficiency, and active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Experience with cost, schedule and technical performance management.
  • External & Internal customer exposure experience.
  • Knowledge of agile lifecycle and new product development.

Program Responsibilities
  • Establishing and growing a trusted partnership with the customer counterpart and be the primary interface with the COTR/Customer PM.
  • Drive a positive team culture to motivate the team to achieve program objectives on schedule and at cost.
  • Clearly communicate program status and any corrective actions in a timely fashion.
  • Partnering at multiple levels within enterprise to capture new business and ensure execution success.
  • Presenting program status utilizing business and project management tools and procedures including Agile metrics, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC required program statuses.
Key Qualifications – Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • External & Internal customer exposure experience.
  • Knowledge of agile lifecycle and new product development.
  • The ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams of people and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, team members and partners.
  • Proven high proficiency experience in MS Office Suite.
  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required for consideration.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Key Qualifications – Preferred
  • Management of metrics, dashboard creation and clear reporting skills.
  • A high aptitude for problem solving, particularly where negotiations in priorities are concerned.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Experience in a process driven environment, working to recognized standards or regulations.
Salary

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Eligibility

Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.
