Role Overview

The Associate Director will lead a team to develop and implement a global sourcing strategy for Professional Services, supporting Carrier’s long-term objectives such as efficiency, risk reduction, and value enhancement.

The scope includes categories like Consulting, Finance, Legal, Travel, Fleet, Marketing, HR, Contingent Labor, Engineering, and EH&S Services. The role emphasizes stakeholder alignment and supplier development for optimal cost and efficiency outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in sourcing, negotiations, contract management, and performance monitoring.
• Manage supplier relationships and develop collaborative initiatives.
• Develop and maintain preferred supplier programs.
• Conduct operational and spend analysis; develop annual sourcing strategies and manage supplier performance.
• Build relationships across all organizational levels for effective sourcing solutions.
• Develop deep supplier partnerships, focusing on data analysis, performance, and innovation.
• Identify business demands and collaborate with Business Units to deliver value improvements.
• Lead sourcing processes from RFQ to contract signing.
• Ensure supplier performance aligns with quality, delivery, and cost standards.
• Define and implement supply chain goals and strategies based on industry insights.
• Manage issues impacting the supply chain proactively.
• Support multiple initiatives with strong project management skills.
• Promote supplier diversity and other supply chain initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in procurement or supply chain management OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or higher degree.
• Experience leading a global team.
• Experience in consultancy and services procurement.
• Strong business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
