Job summary

Columbia University School of Professional Studies is seeking an Associate Director to help shape the Pre-College curriculum, recruit and support instructors, and drive program creation across the Pre-College portfolio. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, you will oversee instructor management, curriculum alignment with safety and policy, and partnerships across CPS, Admissions, and external collaborators.

Evening and weekend availability during summer programs is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising instructors and program staff.
• Ability to analyze program data and market trends.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with youth STEM outreach preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during summer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instructor management, ensure compliance with job descriptions and provide professional development.
• Manage curriculum, course offerings, and collab­oration with program leadership to drive vision.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of instructors and teaching assistants.
• Support budget planning for instructors and program initiatives.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for programs.
• Engage with Admissions, Marketing, and external partners to promote programs.
• Lead data analysis and strategic planning for new pilot programs.
• Plan and execute Youth in STEM initiatives.

Education

Master's degree in a STEM-related field
