What You’ll Do
  1. Grow the Wayflyer book sustainably by managing relationships and credit performance of large, complex clients.
  2. Engage directly with founders and their teams to understand their business models, assess risk, and tailor financing solutions.
  3. Evaluate large, strategic credit opportunities, present recommendations to the Credit Committee, and lead the assessment, structuring, and approval of new loans, collaborating with sales and operations to onboard clients and build long-term relationships.
  4. Oversee the management of the existing loan portfolio, work with senior management to design portfolio strategies, and proactively identify high-risk scenarios.
  5. Shape and execute product and pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
  6. Manage delinquent loans and collections, including revised payment structures and legal strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • 7+ years relevant experience, especially in making large debt investment decisions.
  • Experience structuring and executing debt investments for fast-scaling, pre-break-even companies, preferably in asset-light E-Commerce/SaaS sectors.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with founders/CFOs and understand their business deeply.
  • Commercial mindset, quantitative skills, and ability to balance risk mitigation with growth.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and business data.
  • First-principle thinker with skill in simplifying complex issues.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Organized, self-starter, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Preferred (not essential):

  • Background in venture debt.
  • Knowledge of metrics like CAC, LTV, customer retention rates.
