Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Associate Director of Patient Access to lead the Precertification team and optimize the precert workflow using technology and data-driven processes.

This Senior role reports to Health System Shared Services, drives cross-functional collaboration, ensures regulatory compliance, and focuses on improving access, service quality, and reimbursement for hospital services.

Location: Ackerman Rd, 660; Regular hours and First Shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Health care experience desired.
• Prior demonstration of leadership and management skills.
• Computer experience required.
• Knowledge of applications and systems demonstrates proficiency.
• Strong demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Sense of professionalism, ability to win confidence of those at various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee precertification workflow and technology development.
• Plan projects, manage work queues and productivity improvements.
• Lead implementation of new programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as SME for external insurance processes and portals.
• Collaborate with departments to improve access and reimbursement.
