The Job

The Associate Director, Search and Social (AD) manages strategy and execution of Disney’s paid social and search media plans. The AD translates marketing and media objectives into effective campaigns and stays current with emerging market trends and technologies in performance marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of paid social (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest) and search (Google, Bing, YouTube) landscapes and best practices.
  • Develop strategies and tactics aligned with client goals for performance-driven campaigns.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, updating on project statuses.
  • Stay updated on social consumption habits, market opportunities, and new technologies.
  • Provide POVs on emerging technologies and vendor partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts, overseeing daily interactions and troubleshooting.
  • Manage specialists and coordinators in developing and executing media plans.
  • Oversee budgets across Disney’s fiscal year.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in written and oral formats.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of team outputs.
  • Optimize content calendars and media plans for data quality and insights.
  • Support team development and growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in paid social and search execution.
  • Understanding of major platforms like Google Ads, Bing, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube Ads.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach team members.
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of ad serving, tagging, and billing tools is a plus.

This is a hybrid role based in Burbank, CA, with a pay range of $95,000–$120,000 USD, including benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and flexible work arrangements. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview, with flexibility to adjust over time.
