Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking an Associate Director of Residential Experience for On-Campus Living at the Homewood Campus. This live-on role supports a student-centered, inclusive housing environment and reports to the Director of Residential Experience.

Responsibilities include supervising two Assistant Directors and ~77 Resident Advisors, leading staff meetings, coordinating housing programs, and ensuring high-quality residential services aligned with university goals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Five years of related experience in residential life or higher education preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate two Assistant Directors and ~77 Resident Advisors.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and plan Residential Curriculum with leadership.
• Oversee onboarding, staff development, and competency-based training programs.
• Develop On-Campus Living assessment plans and annual reporting.
• Coordinate large department operations: move-in/move-out, safety checks, RA evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and revise SOPs for Residential Life.
• Serve as on-call administrator and collaborate with campus partners.
