Job summary

Embry-Riddle is seeking an Associate Director to lead New Student Orientation, oversee major campus events, and enhance student engagement across clubs, government, and student life. You will supervise staff, coordinate signature events like Homecoming, and collaborate with a broad team of professionals in Student Affairs.

The role requires strategic planning, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a dynamic university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Ed Administration or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of full-time experience in higher ed student affairs is required.
• Experience coordinating major events, preferably in a university setting, is required.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a unit that provides programs and events to build community, welcome and orient new students, and support campus culture.
• Plan and implement New Student Orientation programs and signature events (e.g., Homecoming, Blue & Gold Week).
• Supervise the Assistant Director for Campus Activities and a graduate assistant.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals supporting student engagement across student organizations, student government, fraternity & sorority life, and Student Union.
• Report to the Executive Director and work within a broad university framework.
