Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach seeks an Associate Director to manage a unit delivering New Student Orientation programs and large-scale signature events such as Homecoming and Blue & Gold Week.

You will supervise the Assistant Director for Campus Activities and a graduate assistant, collaborating with a broad team across student organizations, governance, fraternal life, and the Student Union to support a vibrant campus culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in related field.
  • 2–3 years in higher education student affairs is required.
  • Experience coordinating major university events is required.
  • Knowledge of orientation programming and campus events best practices.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement New Student Orientation programs.
  • Oversee large-scale signature events such as Homecoming and Blue & Gold Week.

Job DescriptionThe OpportunityThis position manages a unit that provides programs and events to build community, welcome and orient new students, and support a lively campus culture. The Associate Director plans and implements New Student Orientation programs and the department’s large-scale signature events such as Homecoming and Blue & Gold Week. In addition, this position supervises the Assistant Director for Campus Activities and a graduate assistant.
