Job summary

IDEXX in Augusta, Maine is seeking an Associate Director, Enterprise Architecture to shape IDEXX’s technology ecosystem, aligning target-state architecture across ERP, CRM, LIMS, cloud platforms, and integration layers. You’ll lead a Center of Excellence of domain and solution architects and establish an enterprise-wide inventory and governance to guide delivery decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT/software engineering, solutions design, and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the enterprise architecture inventory in Ardoq, applications, owners, costs, risks, and lifecycle status, establishing visibility.
• Develop business capability maps linking technology to value and investment priorities.
• Define future-state architecture, principles, standards, and exception processes for delivery teams.
• Embed EA into the Software Realization Framework (SRF) and chair a lightweight Architecture Review Board.
• Partner with EA CoE and domain architects to align standards with delivery reality and champion shared foundations.
• Lead ongoing application portfolio rationalization, retire redundant systems, and optimize total cost of ownership.
• Mentor architects across the CoE and build enterprise architecture capability.
• Communicate architecture direction and progress to delivery teams and senior leadership.
