Job summary

WHOOP is seeking an Associate Director of Electrical Engineering to lead electrical engineering execution across NPI and CI for a WHOOP hardware product line. You will guide a team of engineers from development through production and drive continuous improvements for fielded products.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical engineering and 4+ years of leadership, with strong cross-functional collaboration and a track record in hardware scaling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering.
• 4+ years leading engineers or technical teams.
• Experience bringing hardware from development to production.
• Wearables/consumer electronics experience preferred.
• Ability to drive AI-enabled workflows in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead EE team for NPI and CI across a product line.
• Own EE execution from concept to production ramp.
• Set technical direction for architecture, PCBAs, validation, and failure analysis.
• Partner with Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Battery, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product teams.
• Build a high-performing EE organization by hiring and developing engineers.
• Continuously improve EE processes, tools and development practices for quality and scalability.
