Job summary

WHOOP is seeking an Associate Director of Electrical Engineering to lead EE execution across NPI and Continuous Improvement for a WHOOP hardware product line. You will lead a team of electrical engineers responsible for bringing new hardware from development through production and continuously improving products already in the field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience developing complex hardware products.
• Experience leading engineers or technical teams for 4+ years.
• Deep knowledge of circuit design, PCBAs, power architecture, validation, and failure analysis.
• Experience bringing high-volume hardware through NPI, ramp, and sustaining engineering.
• Preferred: wearables or space-constrained consumer hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead, build, and develop the Electrical Engineering team for NPI and CI.
• Own EE execution across the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Set technical direction for EE architecture, design reviews, and validation.
• Identify risks and ensure rigorous resolution with urgency.
• Partner with Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Battery, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product teams.
• Hire and develop engineers to build a high-performing EE organization.
• Establish and improve EE processes, tools, and documentation for quality and scalability.
