Job summary

Vividion Therapeutics, Inc. in San Diego is seeking an Associate Director, Accounting to shape how Accounting operates today while building capabilities for tomorrow.

Reporting to the Controller, this leader will strengthen organizational capability and develop future leaders to support long-term success. The role leads accounting operations, drives the close process, and partners with FP&A, Procurement, HR, IT, and Legal to ensure control, accuracy, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading accounting operations, close processes, and audit activities.
• Proven ability to build structure, ownership, and execution discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate workflows across Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and partners.
• Stabilize and optimize Workday-enabled accounting processes, workflows, reporting, and controls.
• Serve as the operational liaison for parent company stakeholders and audit support.
• Coach accounting managers and staff to strengthen ownership and accountability.
• Promote a culture of documentation and cross-training.
