Job Description

Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. (Strategic Customer Group) is recruiting for an Associate Director, National Policy & Advocacy covering the East Coast, with most travel between Horsham, PA and Washington D.C. This is a field-based role; residing in the East Coast timezone is preferred, and Central Timezone states will be considered as well.

The role involves supporting and implementing strategic initiatives in healthcare policy & access, specifically in Solid Tumor Oncology. The candidate will partner with internal teams and external advocacy organizations to improve access and remove barriers to care. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and executive communication skills. It does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with advocacy stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic advocacy plans
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners
  • Provide insights on patient challenges and policy impacts
  • Monitor policy environment and recommend strategies
  • Engage with state-based policy teams on relevant issues
  • Manage relationships with advocacy organizations and professional societies
  • Participate in strategic planning and advocacy meetings
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 8 years of healthcare industry experience, including stakeholder management and policy expertise
Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of healthcare access issues and policies
  • Excellent communication and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
Travel

Up to 50% domestic travel, primarily between Horsham, PA, and Washington, D.C., and other US locations. Residing in Eastern or Central time zones is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $207,000, with performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. Details at https://www.careers.jnj.com/employee-benefits
