Job summary

Banner Health seeks an Associate Director of Medical Imaging for Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. You will provide operational leadership across CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, X‑Ray, and related imaging services, aligning staffing and resources with strategic goals to enhance patient care.

You will partner with physicians and cross‑functional teams to improve workflows, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction while managing budgets and encouraging staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years supervisory imaging experience.
• ARRT certification and/or modality licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Advanced imaging specialty certification is preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to imaging leaders, technologists, and staff across modalities.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, patient throughput, and department operations.
• Monitor quality, safety, and financial metrics; drive improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing leaders to optimize workflows and outcomes.
• Lead budget development and management for imaging services.
