Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an Associate Director RN for Emergency at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. The role leads a high-quality nursing team in the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, cost-effective patient care and guiding clinical and operational initiatives on the day shift.

The position demands a BSN/ MSN with RN licensure, BLS, and at least two years in clinical management within the ED or similar setting.

Qualifications

BSN or MSN is required for all new hires; BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months of transfer/promotion.
Requires a current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
Must have strong knowledge and understanding of clinical care management demonstrated through two years of clinical management experience relevant to the patient population.

Responsibilities

Manages and facilitates patient-centered nursing care for designated populations, serving as a real-time clinical expert for staff and physicians on escalated issues.
Leads quality and process improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversees budget development and utilization, staff leadership and development, and talent retention.
Manages large units or multiple clinical units, developing entry-level nurse managers and leading clinical improvement initiatives.
