Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Associate Director, Materials Demand Management to lead demand and inventory planning for US Human Pharma medicines, driving accurate forecasts, optimized inventory and execution of the S&OP cycle across commercial, supply chain and operations.

You will manage a team, partner with CMOs and BI production sites, balance service levels with costs, set coverage targets and guide risk mitigation to ensure reliable market supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years in a regulated industry in supply chain, operations or related area; pharma experience preferred.
• Breadth of knowledge in pharma business across functions within a supply chain or production environment.
• Proven ability to lead people and projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Results oriented with ability to identify complex problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to facilitate diverse cross functional work teams.
• Minimum of four (4) years leadership experience in a Pharmaceutical or related cross-functional leadership role.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the US Materials Demand Management function, aligning priorities with stakeholders, CMOs and BI production sites.
• Balance service levels with inventory levels and logistics costs; set coverage targets and mitigate excess or obsolete inventory.
• Direct and develop the monthly HP US S&OP cycle, ensuring cross-functional alignment on forecasts and supply capabilities.
• Support HP US product launches and transfers to ensure rapid launches and reliable market supply.
• Ensure GMP compliance and regulatory requirements in handling brand products transfers.
• Lead continuous improvement in S&OP maturity and inventory processes; use analytics to identify trends and risks.
• Develop and coach team, manage budgets, and set long-term staffing and forecasts.
