Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Associate Director, Materials Demand Management to lead demand and inventory management for the US market, ensuring reliable supply of Human Pharma medicines. The role partners with CMOs and BI sites to align priorities, optimize inventory, and execute the S&OP cycle, bridging commercial, supply chain and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, business or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years working in a regulated industry (drugs, food, chemicals, medical device, etc.) in supply chain, operations, or other relevant area.
  • Pharma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the US Materials Demand Management function, prioritizing initiatives that support US and Global Human Pharma business plans.
  • Partners with stakeholders, CMOs, and BI global production sites to align supply chain priorities, ensure supply continuity, improve processes, and execute inventory strategy.
  • Directs and develops processes for the monthly HP US S&OP cycle and ensures robust cross-functional alignment on forecasts, new business, net requirements, and supply chain capabilities.
  • Directs activities to balance short-term and long-term objectives and supports product launches and transfers for rapid launches and reliable market supply.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities including S&OP maturity, efficiency, and use of analytical tools to identify trends and inventory opportunities.
  • Leads and develops employees with clear expectations, coaching, and staffing decisions.
  • Requires travel domestically and internationally 20-30%.
