Job summary

Chapman University is seeking an Associate Director of Development to lead its major gifts program. The role oversees a portfolio of prospects/donors, engages with deans and campus leaders, and advances donor relationships through discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

The successful candidate will work closely with University Advancement colleagues, travel regionally, and help connect donor interests with institutional priorities while meeting fundraising goals and contributing

Qualifications

• Experience managing a major gifts fundraising program.
• Proven ability to manage a donor portfolio and close gifts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to move prospects through the gift cycle.
• Prepare and present fundraising proposals to donors.
• Travel regionally to engage alumni, parents, donors, and friends.
• Meet monthly and annual fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues across University Advancement.
