Job summary

Altasciences is seeking an Associate Director, LBA to lead scientific and technical activities within the Laboratory Sciences department. You will manage direct reports, provide mentorship, and ensure performance, productivity, and cost-effective delivery of bioanalytical projects.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, coordinating with senior management, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Pharmacology with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• M.Sc. with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• B.Sc. with 10+ years of relevant experience in bioanalysis in CRO/Pharma, in lieu of Ph.D.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience; 3+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical leadership in Laboratory Sciences.
• Manage direct reports, scheduling, training and performance reviews.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance; address KPI issues.
• Support cost control and operational efficiencies across areas of expertise.
• Provide scientific support to Bioanalytical Responsible Scientists/PI; ensure timelines and communicate delays.
• Lead training and development of LBA staff; drive efficiency improvements and workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with senior management and Business Development for growth initiatives.
