Job summary

Altasciences seeks an Associate Director, LCMS to provide scientific leadership in bioanalysis by LC-MS/MS. You will manage staff, ensure performance and efficiency, and support projects with scientific input across the LCMS platform.

You will also contribute to strategic planning, quality/regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction while collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams. This role supports growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Pharmacology with substantial bioanalysis experience.
• Supervisory experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal/external collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and ability to interpret technical docs.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and initiative-taking.

Responsibilities

• Lead personnel management: scheduling, development, performance reviews.
• Review driving documents and escalate issues to senior management.
• Contribute to revenue growth and client satisfaction targets.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance by team members.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost-control initiatives.
• Provide scientific support across LCMS projects and timelines.
• Offer training for LCMS staff and participate in planning.
• Coordinate with Business Development and Operations on scheduling.
• Support growth of LCMS assay services and strategic planning.
• Back up Laboratory Sciences leadership when needed.
• Represent the group in internal/external presentations and safety programs.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards.
