Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Associate Director, IT Strategic Sourcing to partner with IT stakeholders and lead strategic sourcing initiatives across software, hardware, cloud, telecom, networking, and professional services.

You will drive end-to-end RFx development, contract negotiations, supplier onboarding, renewals, and spend analysis, ensuring policy compliance and risk controls in regulated environments.

Job description

The client is seeking an Associate Director, IT Strategic Sourcing to partner with IT stakeholders and help execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned to financial, operational, and risk objectives. This role will manage supplier relationships and drive vendor partnerships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, processes, and systems while supporting category strategies and business goals.

Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, such as RFx development, contract negotiations, and procurement execution. The role will manage renewals, identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies, conduct vendor business reviews, monitor supplier performance, and analyze spend and contract data to drive sourcing decisions and value creation across technology-related categories.

The client will support supplier onboarding and issue resolution, while also gathering business requirements, evaluating supplier proposals, facilitating vendor selections, and coordinating contract-related negotiations involving software, hardware, cloud, telecom, networking, and professional services agreements. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in IT strategic sourcing and category management, strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and experience in regulated environments with the ability to manage financial, legal, and operational controls.
