Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an IT Strategic Sourcing Manager / Associate Director in Jersey City, NJ. Hybrid onsite/remote role with 2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days remote weekly.

You will lead RFx/RFP activities, negotiate IT contracts across HW, software, telecom, cloud, and professional services, and drive savings through strategic sourcing initiatives. • Minimum 7 years in IT strategic sourcing at a global organization.
• Experience developing RFxs and negotiating HW, software, telecom/networking, private and public cloud contracts.

• Strong communication, able to simplify complex sourcing concepts for business, legal, finance, and risk stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities independently.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Comfortable with organizational change and transformation.
• Understanding of financial, legal, and operational controls in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT stakeholders to deliver the organizational sourcing strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships to foster strategic partnerships and value delivery.
• Ensure compliance with policy, process, and systems for IT category spend.
• Oversee RFx, contracting, and downstream procurement lifecycle.
• Pro-actively manage renewals to drive savings and mitigate disruptions.
• Participate in value-driven QBRs for key IT vendors.
• Leverage spend and contract data to identify savings opportunities.
• Lead sourcing projects with clear objectives considering financial, risk, and operational benefits.
• Develop subject matter expertise via benchmarking, industry collaboration, training, and client feedback.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms aligned with company goals.
• Review requests via centralized intake tool and gather requirements from business clients.
• Review supplier proposals and facilitate vendor selection with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sourcing Directors to ensure alignment on strategy, requirements, and targets.

Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting the execution of the company's overall IT Sourcing strategy (including HW, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services). This role is responsible for the execution of RFPs/RFQs, contract negotiations, and sourcing activities for procurement requests across the IT portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Mgmt. at a global organization, preferably in financial services.
• Experience and proven success developing RFxs and negotiating HW, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services contracts.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT vendors as well as emerging technology providers.
• Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex sourcing and contractual concepts into terms that can be understood by business, legal, finance, and risk stakeholders.
• Strong organizational competency with the ability to independently manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
