Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an experienced Associate Director for the Residency Program in Internal Medicine. The role blends clinical practice with administrative leadership to advance the residency's operations, education, and accreditation.

The Associate Director will support the Program Director, participate in curriculum development, resident recruitment, evaluation, and ensure compliance with ACGME policies across teaching sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optimizing the residency program and oversight of teaching faculty.
• Attend regular residency program staff meetings.
• Assist in annual evaluation of residency program including faculty and residents.
• Manage affiliation agreements for partner sites as required by ACGME.
• Develop and implement the written resident curriculum.
• Support resident adherence to educational and clinical practices at all clinical sites.
• Promote high faculty teaching standards by promoting additional education.
• Support resident well-being.
• Foster inclusive teaching climate addressing inclusion and equity.
