Job summary

Qualifications

• State licensed (or eligible) physical therapist in academic program.
• An advanced doctoral degree or terminal doctorate with proven scholarship, service and committee activities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Prior entry level therapy education teaching experience required; graduate level education administration highly preferred.
• Experience teaching in remote or online learning environments with LMS and virtual instruction.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to achieve program goals consistent with University policies.
• Collect and furnish outcome data and information about the program.
• Participate in Program Director Council and policy development.
• Oversee core and contributing faculty in the professional program.
• Supervise training, development, and supervision of core faculty.
• Lead recruitment and hiring of contributing faculty and lab staff.
• Oversee local clinical education office responsibilities and development.
• Coordinate with facility managers and student services for satisfaction and communication.
• Plan and participate in program events and budget development.
• Supervise students; address complaints and misconduct; manage workload limits.
• Engage in scholarly and service activities; participate in marketing as a university representative.
