Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver seeks an Associate Director of High School Outreach and Recruitment to lead a team of Admissions Counselors focused on high school and first‑generation college populations. The role uses enrollment management principles and data analysis to guide recruitment and achieve strategic goals.

The incumbent represents Admissions with campus partners and external organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years in higher education, secondary education, or a student engagement organization.
• One year supervising professional and/or student staff.
• Experience in student recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and trains high school outreach team; provides direction for outreach aligned with recruitment goals.
• Provide in-office admissions counseling to prospective students, with emphasis on diverse groups.
• Coordinate targeted follow-up communications to inquiries, applicants, accepted and enrolled students.
• Apply data analysis and enrollment management principles for program evaluation and planning.
• Support visitation scheduling in Colorado high schools and engagement in key out-of-state markets.
• Participate in committees and perform related duties as assigned.
