Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, HCM Core & Workday Security to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will shape the strategy and governance behind core human capital structures, hire-to-retire processes, and security architecture across a complex enterprise environment. You will partner closely with HR, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and other stakeholders to strengthen access controls, protect personal data, and support regulatory alignment. The position calls for deep expertise in HR operations and enterprise security models, along with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and guide long-range priorities for core system enhancements.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $157,200 – $298,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Partner in delivering strategic direction for core HCM foundational structures and hire-to-retire processes
• Design and enforce security policies and governance models
• Oversee configuration and governance of core HCM processes and personal data
• Lead long-term planning and prioritization for HCM Core and security enhancements
• Collaborate with HR, Cybersecurity, and Compliance teams to align security practices with policies and regulations
• Own enterprise-wide security model design and access protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, including 10 years of leadership experience in HCM and/or security
• Proven ownership of security architecture and foundational HCM design
• Experience in cross-functional influence and collaboration
• Deep understanding of HR operations, data governance, regulatory requirements, and enterprise security models
• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership capabilities
