Job summary

The Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas seeks a Program Associate Director for Research Education & Programming to coordinate and advance graduate student and postdoctoral programs university-wide.

This role reports to the Program Director and helps design professional development, collaborative opportunities, and initiatives to promote student success and strengthen research outcomes across academic units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 4 years of professional related experience.
• Substitute education for experience allowed.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Researcher Programs and Services: Manage university-wide programs, resources, and support services that promote graduate student and postdoctoral scholar success, engagement, and retention.
• Develop and Implement Professional Development Programs: Design, coordinate, and assess workshops, training programs, funding opportunities, research compliance development, and career development opportunities that support graduate students and postdoctoral scholars' research, leadership, teaching, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with Faculty, Research Units, and External Partners: Work with faculty mentors, colleges, research centers, and professional organizations to expand development opportunities and strengthen support for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional responsibilities and special projects in support of the mission and strategic priorities of the Division of Research and Innovation.
