Job summary

The Toulouse Graduate School within the Division of Research & Innovation at the University of North Texas System in Denton seeks a Program Associate Director for Research Education & Programming to coordinate graduate programs and services, support career development, and engage graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of program related state and federal laws and regulations.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various populations orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Researcher Programs and Services: Manage university-wide programs, resources, and support services that promote graduate student and postdoctoral scholar success, engagement, and retention.
• Develop and Implement Professional Development Programs: Design, coordinate, and assess workshops, training programs, funding opportunities, research compliance development, and career development opportunities that support graduate students and postdoctoral scholars' research, leadership, teaching, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with Faculty, Research Units, and External Partners: Work with faculty mentors, colleges, research centers, and professional organizations to expand development opportunities and strengthen support for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional responsibilities and special projects in support of the mission and strategic priorities of the Division of Research and Innovation.
