Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking an Associate Director (P4) End-to-End Planner to coordinate vaccine supply planning, balancing demand with inventory targets across a global network.

You will partner across manufacturing sites, commercial teams, and value chain groups to ensure timely delivery and optimized inventory for multiple vaccine products. The role requires extensive experience in pharmaceutical planning, SAP/ERP environments, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on 0–36 month horizon

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine, or related regulated industry.
• Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Master Data Management, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Value Chain Management.
• Experience supporting end-to-end supply planning processes across a manufacturing network.
• Experience working with master data governance, ERP systems, and planning systems to support supply chain execution.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Experience managing supply interruptions, inventory risks, and supply-demand imbalances in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply planning knowledge (MRP, ERP), Inventory & Forecast Planning and demand planning.
• Lead the E2E Product Supply Team for assigned product and develop supply plans and scenarios.
• Understand production rhythms and plant shop floor challenges; balance dependent demand across nodes/regions.
• Drive Product Inventory Plan performance and align with regional/global brand strategies.
• Own supply execution strategies for global source changes to ensure supply and minimize inventory.
