Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking an Associate Director (P4) End to End Planner for vaccines in Durham, NC.

You will lead the E2E product supply team, develop supply plans, and coordinate with manufacturing, commercial, and finance to ensure availability, minimize risk, and optimize inventory over a 0–36 month horizon. You will balance demand and supply, drive inventory performance, and implement regional/global strategies while navigating complex supply chains across a regulated vaccine portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine, or related regulated industry
• Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Master Data Management, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Value Chain Management
• Experience supporting end-to-end supply planning processes across a manufacturing network
• Experience working with master data governance, ERP systems, and planning systems to support supply chain execution
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders
• Experience managing supply interruptions, inventory risks, and supply-demand imbalances in a regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Lead End to End Product Supply Team for assigned product, develop supply plans with impact on revenue, inventory, and transfers
• Coordinate with DS/DP/packaging network for supply chain improvements
• Drive Product Inventory Plan performance
• Integrate regional/global Brand Strategies into supply plans for 0–36 month horizon
• Own supply execution strategies for global source changes and regional allocations
• Follow established planning processes and develop new ones where gaps exist
• Lead/planning projects focused on continuous improvement
• Manage issues with strong communication and stakeholder management
• Assemble/analyze data to identify problems and develop recommendations
• Demonstrate urgency and ownership for common goals
• Collaborate within product planning team to foster positive environment
