Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director, Global Policy Strategy Execution to shape and implement the company’s global policy agenda. The role collaborates across Global Policy and Government Affairs with regional teams, researchers, communications, legal, and senior leaders to ensure priorities are defined, supported, and executed effectively.

The position requires extensive policy experience, advanced degrees, and the ability to translate complex issues into actionable strategies

Qualifications

• Approximately eight years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, health policy, external affairs, or a related field.
• Advanced degree in political science, law, economics, business, public policy, health policy, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of policy issues affecting the biopharmaceutical industry, including pricing, reimbursement, market access, innovation policy, investment incentives, tax, and the external environment.
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare policy environment and at least one other country or system.
• Proven ability to implement policy strategies through advocacy materials, policy narratives, and senior-level briefing documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination and execution of global policy strategies that advance business priorities.
• Translate complex policy issues into clear priorities, recommendations, and advocacy approaches for global, regional, and market levels.
• Develop policy proposals, positions, narratives, and toolkits for engagement with policymakers and external stakeholders.
• Define evidence generation priorities and research needs to support credible policy research.
• Lead content strategy for the online policy platform and ensure it remains timely, credible, and aligned with priorities.
