Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Washington, DC, seeks an Associate Director, US Policy Research & Economics to lead the development and execution of policy evidence strategies shaping federal and state healthcare policy. You will oversee high‑risk projects, provide senior guidance, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to inform policy decisions and external engagement.

A graduate degree is required and extensive data analytics experience is essential.

Qualifications

7 years of policy analytics and/or research experience in healthcare policy and/or economics.
Strong data & analytics capabilities with extensive experience in statistical analyses & modelling.
Deep understanding of U.S. and global healthcare market dynamics as they relate to policy changes at state, federal, and international levels.
Experience communicating complex statistical analysis/modelling to diverse audiences.
Able to work in a cross-functional, high-pressure environment with ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of evidence-generation strategies for policy issues.
Shape state and federal policy advocacy positions and contribute to strategic planning.
Identify emerging policy opportunities and risks; develop mitigation options with clear accountability.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and coordinate formal company responses.
Provide senior-level briefings and strategic insights to leadership.
Oversee development of materials and narratives for administration officials and external stakeholders.
