Job summary

Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN seeks an Associate Director of Legal Studies Admissions to lead LL.M., MLS, and international recruitment, admissions, and enrollment efforts. This role works closely with the Assistant Dean for Legal Studies to design strategies, manage applications, scholarships, and outreach programs.

You will travel domestically and internationally, represent the Law School at events, coordinate with international partners, and oversee communications with applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is necessary; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Executive level interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects is necessary.
• Strong organizational, project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and university and law school systems are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full LL.M. application, interview, admission, scholarship, and recruitment processes.
• Develop and implement international recruitment, admission, and yield strategies.
• Travel and represent the Law School at domestic and international recruitment events.
• Review and evaluate candidate applications and make recommendations.
• Direct and manage LL.M. scholarship awards and annual budget.
• Maintain statistical reports on admissions data and scholarships.
• Plan and allocate advertising and recruiting budgets.
• Develop and update marketing publications in collaboration with relevant offices.
• Direct communications with applicants and vendors.
• Collaborate with Admissions Coordinator to manage all admissions processes.
• Review MLS program applications and manage MLS admissions processes.
• Coordinate scholarship programming and host information events.
• Liaise with international partners and alumni for recruitment and admissions interviews.
• Plan and attend international receptions for alumni and prospective students.
