Job summary

The University of Minnesota Law School is seeking a Law School Admissions Assistant Director who will counsel prospective students, participate in application reviews, and oversee special programs to promote interest in the Law School.

This on-site role (with some flexibility) reports to the Director of Admissions and collaborates with the Communications Office to align marketing materials and outreach.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus four years of relevant experience or a Master's plus two years.
• Experience in higher education admissions or student services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications; ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students through admissions and financial aid processes, in person or virtually.
• Evaluate applications and make admission recommendations in partnership with the Admissions team.
• Oversee Pre-Law mentor program and Minnesota Pre-Law Scholars LSAT prep for ~30 students annually.
• Engage with admitted students, edit content for multimedia recruiting tools, and coordinate outreach.
