The role owns four critical operational capabilities: Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Governance, Inventory Operations, Secure Supply Chain (DSCSA and Serialization), and Inbound Transportation. Together, these capabilities form the backbone of Breckenridge's fulfillment and execution network and directly influence customer service, regulatory compliance, inventory investment, working capital, and operational performance. This leader will advance the organization from reactive issue management to a proactive, analytics-driven operating model supported by Control Tower visibility, standardized governance, disciplined risk management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly business reviews and operational governance meetings with external logistics providers.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve service-level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Drive improvements in order fulfillment, OTIF performance, inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, returns, and reverse logistics.
  • Evaluate warehouse capabilities, long-range capacity requirements, and automation opportunities needed to support future growth.
Inventory Operations
  • Own finished-goods inventory stewardship.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation between SAP and external logistics systems.
  • Establish consistent governance for disposition, destruction, donations, returns, quarantine inventory, and quality-held inventory.

Secure Supply Chain
  • Serve as the operational leader for Secure Supply Chain activities, DSCSA execution, and serialization compliance.
  • Lead serialization exception management, investigation, escalation, and closure processes within defined service levels.
  • Partner with IT, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, customers, and external solution providers to sustain and improve serialization capabilities.
  • Lead operational readiness for NDC-12 conversion and future track and trace requirements.
  • Maintain KPI reporting for DSCSA compliance, exception trends, response times, customer onboarding, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain appropriate procedures, documentation, controls, training, and evidence supporting regulatory inspections and partner audits.
  • Lead inbound transportation strategy and execution from supplier shipment through receipt at the distribution center.
  • Establish end-to-end inbound visibility from supplier shipment through IC receipt
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, ocean and air carriers, customs brokers, and transportation service providers.
  • Implement inbound transportation scorecard and weekly carrier reviews
  • Develop standardized escalation process for port, customs, FDA, and carrier issues
Control Tower and Operational Excellence
  • Partner with Integrated Planning and the Control Tower organization to convert operational data into actionable insights and early risk detection.
  • Implement dashboards and operating reviews covering inventory turns, days of supply, OTIF, backorder risk, logistics lead time, port dwell time, supplier and carrier performance, logistics cost per unit, and DSCSA exceptions.
  • Establish a weekly Operations Execution Review cadence with clear ownership, escalation paths, action tracking, and corrective-action governance.
  • Drive predictive risk management, digital supply chain capabilities, and future AI-enabled exception monitoring.
  • Lead process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across fulfillment, transportation, inventory, and compliance operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or commensurate experience.
