Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States seeks an Associate Director Estimator to lead capital/expense project estimates and drive value across projects from feasibility through funding and completion. The role involves coordinating with AE/CM, Digital/IT, and project teams to deliver TIC estimates and staffing plans.

You will review third-party estimates, lead risk analyses, manage cost databases, and mentor teams through FEL processes while enabling remote work across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Estimating, Project Control, Capital Management and/or Project Management experience.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, capital management and financial processes.
• Broad knowledge of Pharma/Biotech industry across multiple project types and lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating effort for capital and expense projects and studies with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates including conceptual schedules and staffing plans.
• Gather and validate estimate information from multiple internal and external groups.
