Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an Executive role to oversee Environmental Services and Logistics across the system, driving performance, compliance, and strategic workforce development. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory readiness.

The incumbent will supervise EVS and Logistics teams, partner with clinical and support services, and ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards while advancing patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field; 3 years hospital experience.
• In lieu of degree, 7 years of relevant hospital experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EVS & Logistics practices.
• Must obtain CESE Certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in management and training of EVS and Logistics departments.
• Provides executive oversight of EVS and Logistics operations and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Leads workforce development, training, and quality assurance programs.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 7:00a-3:30p

Assists in the management and training of the Environmental Services (EVS) and Logistics departments for the MetroHealth System. Provides executive oversight of the EVS and Logistics operations, patient satisfaction initiatives, workforce development, training, quality assurance programs, regulatory readiness and employee engagement strategies. Helps ensure the EVS & Logistics functions comply with The Joint Commission® (TJC) and other regulatory, accreditation, and inspection agency requirements, guidelines, and standards. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of relevant hospital experience. In lieu of degree, 7 years of relevant hospital experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EVS & Logistics practices.
• Must obtain a Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) Certification from the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) within a year of beginning employment and maintain through duration of employment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Budget, project management, and strategic planning skills and experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional self-development.
• Proven leadership, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database skills and experience.

Preferred:

• Hospital experience in EVS & Logistics fields.
• Experience using an EVS & Logistics database or reporting system (Smart Inspect, Epic Rover, Tableau, etc.).

Physical Demands:
