Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks an Associate Director to lead global employee engagement and community impact initiatives, including giving, volunteering, and related programs. The role combines strategy, operations, governance, and stakeholder management to maximize social impact across geographies.

The successful candidate will drive program development, manage platforms, and partner with Communications to promote participation while ensuring compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Business, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in employee engagement, employee giving, volunteer management.
• Experience in corporate philanthropy, social impact, or corporate responsibility.
• Experience with vendor management, nonprofit partnerships across geographies.
• Ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and day-to-day management of employee giving and matching gifts platform.
• Oversee employee giving fund disbursement, cash distributions, and governance.
• Manage vendor relationships and program operations to improve engagement.
• Identify opportunities to expand reach and participation in programs.
• Coordinate communications and promotional campaigns to drive awareness and participation.
