Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director, Employee Engagement & Community Impact to lead global employee engagement programs, including giving, volunteering, and related community initiatives. The role combines strategy, operations, governance, and communications across markets.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a passion for meaningful employee and community impact, in a regulated global environment.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Business, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in employee engagement, employee giving, volunteer management.
• Experience in corporate philanthropy, social impact, or corporate responsibility.
• Experience with vendor management and nonprofit partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and day-to-day management of the employee giving and matching gifts platform and processes.
• Oversee employee giving fund disbursement, reconciliations, and governance to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage vendor relationships and drive program improvements and user engagement.
• Lead the strategy and execution of employee volunteering programs and global volunteering network.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
