Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA seeks an Associate Director of Events in Donor Relations to lead a robust portfolio of recognition, stewardship, and cultivation events. You will oversee planning, staffing, budgeting, and vendor management to ensure all programs run on time and within scope.

Reporting to the Director of Events, you will supervise an Assistant Director, coordinate with senior leadership and faculty, and translate fundraising priorities into compelling event programs

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in philanthropy or major events.
• Experience with donor and volunteer management preferred.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to annual operating plan and analytics for 80+ events.
• Supervise an Assistant Director and allocate event portfolios.
• Staff planning, management, and event execution.
• Coordinate speakers and manage relationships with them.
• Prepare budgets, evaluations, and management reports.
• Ensure fundraising goals are met through events.
• Collaborate with senior management and institute departments.
