Job summary

The University of Indianapolis seeks an Associate Director of Disability Resources to provide strategic leadership for accessibility services, drive compliance, and work across campus to ensure equitable access for all students. The role oversees intake, documentation review, and accommodations, coordinating with exam proctoring, text production, interpreters, and more.

You'll guide policy development, data reporting, and budget oversight while partnering with faculty and staff to advance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive, responsible experience within a post‑secondary disability services or accessibility resources framework.
  • Deep working knowledge of the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and related federal and state guidelines governing equal access in higher education.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and cross‑cultural communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with diverse populations, resolve student grievances, and collaborate across complex academic divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee interactive intake, evaluation, and documentation review to determine eligibility and assign accommodations.
  • Ensure timely and equitable delivery of auxiliary services, including exam proctoring, alternative text production, note‑taking, interpreters, and peer assistants.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the development and long‑term planning of disability accessibility aligned with student retention goals.
  • Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Facilities to remove barriers across campus.
