Job summary

Merck is hiring an Associate Director, Digital Operations in West Point, PA, to shift from traditional BI to a modern data foundation. You will design data pipelines, build custom WebApps, and deploy AI workflows, partnering with supply chain and manufacturing stakeholders across the drug substance and product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Python and advanced SQL.
• Deep experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for data governance.
• Proven ability to translate complex stakeholder needs into technical roadmaps.
• Familiarity with Agentic Modeling, LLMs, and AI agents in workflows.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with Jira Cloud and Confluence.
• Proficiency with VS Code and AI-assisted coding tools.
• CI/CD and version control using GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Develop WebApps for PoC solutions later industrialized on the React Platform.
• Create agentic AI workflows to automate decisions and insights.
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure scalable data models for analytics and transactions.
• Document processes, code, and data models; train end-users on new tech.
