Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks an Associate Director Data Product Management to lead the Digital Product Management capabilities within HHDDA.

You will drive shaping and delivery of data-driven solutions for the Global commercial marketing portfolio and lead a team across multiple data products and use cases. You will apply techno-functional expertise to evolve domain analytics, collaborate with delivery teams, and shape the staffing strategy with vendor partners while maintaining agile

Qualifications

• Digital and Marketing data domain knowledge in commercial space in biopharma industry is a must.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience with data and analytics solutions and solid technical understanding.
• Strong experience building data products and capabilities using agile approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Dynamic problem solving in a matrix organization.
• Experience managing portfolios, tracking performance, and managing risks and escalations.
• Knowledge of data analysis and analytics use cases and capabilities.
• Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and Scrum execution.
• Strong organizational skills for navigating complex teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to manage the lifecycle of digital data products from discovery to development and maintenance.
• Translate use cases into implementation roadmaps delivering high quality data products.
• Establish common performance expectations for data product owners, analysts, and scrum masters.
• Shape vision and strategy for domain level analytics ready datasets.
• Drive large scale multi-country program rollouts with cross-divisional stakeholders.
• Plan roadmaps and manage risks for data product evolution.
• Ensure Agile practices are implemented and adapted to needs and feedback.
• Develop relationships with vendor partners to staffing strategy and deliverables.
• Demonstrate inclusive leadership, decisive thinking, and active listening.
• Apply Gen AI mindset to ensure data products are Gen AI ready from outset.
