Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States seeks an Associate Director, Data Science & AI Solutions to lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle of next‑generation AI and data science solutions across our R&D Quality Assurance Analytics & Tech Systems team.

You will bridge hands‑on development with strategic business partnerships, translate complex AI concepts for leadership, and drive scalable governance, validation playbooks, and regulatory compliance for a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in a relevant area.
• Minimum 5+ years in pharma/biotech/tech industries.
• Strong Python, R, SQL programming and ML deployment experience.
• Hands-on with RAG architectures and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• AI development lifecycle: design, deploy, and maintain advanced AI apps and analytics solutions.
• Environment management within enterprise analytics platforms to monitor and scale systems.
• GxP AI governance: align with regulatory requirements and validation playbooks.
• Translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders and drive business partnerships.
