Job summary

MCG in Seattle is seeking an Associate Director, Data Engineering to shape the data foundation behind our AI products. You will partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists to build and operate the data platform that moves data from ingestion to trusted datasets and actionable insights.

The role spans platform engineering, data operations, analytics, and emerging agentic workflows, with room to grow.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field.
• Experience building or growing data platforms for AI/ml products.
• Strong data operations and software engineering skills for reliable data pipelines.
• Understanding of ML lifecycle and data needs for model development.
• Experience with governed data lakes and data quality practices.
• Ability to translate product and scientific needs into technical data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers and customers to design end-to-end data and insights solutions for AI features.
• Grow and maintain the data platform that supports our AI work, from ingestion to delivery.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, governance-backed datasets for Data Scientists.
• Identify patterns and insights to inform product decisions and AI roadmap.
• Create dashboards to communicate performance and decisions across the business.
• Improve data pipelines and platform capabilities with robust engineering practices.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Data Science to surface risks early.
