Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a data engineering leader to design and deliver scalable AI-enabled data architectures for diverse industries. You will own technical workstreams, build robust data pipelines, and mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.

You will lead integration of generative and agentic AI capabilities, architect MLOps/LLMOps workflows, and drive secure data environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
• Expert-level Python and SQL; familiarity with Scala/Java as needed by client systems.
• Strong track record delivering AI/ML and data solutions with governance and security in mind.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering workstreams and scalable data pipeline design.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Architect and implement AI features, MLOps/LLMOps, and model management architectures.
