Job summary

IREN is seeking an Associate Director, Operational Excellence to lead standardized practices, governance, and readiness across its data center portfolio. The role partners with site operations to optimize asset performance and scale reliable operations while transitioning from construction to steady-state operations.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in critical infrastructure and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 8-12 years of progressive experience in critical infrastructure or mission-critical operations.
• Experience supporting KPI tracking, audit frameworks, or operational governance processes across multiple sites.
• Experience operating across the construction-to-operations boundary, including onboarding and handover.
• Progression from hands-on site execution to governance or process improvement work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Sound technical judgment and ability to operate with autonomy while aligning with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

• Roll out and adopt standardized operating procedures, maintenance playbooks, and technical documentation across sites.
• Coordinate internal operational reviews and audits to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Develop and maintain performance frameworks, KPIs, and governance processes that support portfolio optimization.
• Act as a liaison supporting readiness during site ramp-up and transition to live operations.
• Identify opportunities to bring maintenance and operations in-house to improve cost efficiency or reliability.
• Partner cross-functionally on initiatives affecting readiness, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to onboarding and training programs for operations personnel and emergency readiness.
• Support standardization of SOPs/EOPs/MOPs to reduce approval times and strengthen audit readiness.
• Provide input into enterprise governance frameworks and share lessons learned across sites.
