Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a seasoned commodity risk professional to partner with business units to identify, quantify and manage commodity risks using forward transactions across financial, physical and structured approaches. The role executes hedge strategies for pork, beef, dairy programs, reconciles positions with back office, and coordinates currency transactions with treasury.

The candidate will provide market commentary, support monthly risk discussions, and advise the VP of Sourcing and Risk

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a discipline directly related to the position.
5+ years' experience in commodity markets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.

Responsibilities

Identify, quantify and manage commodity risks using forward transactions across financial, physical, structured or other methodologies.
Execute risk management strategies for prepared foods, pork belly, hedge programs and related commodities.
Coordinate compliance with treasury, reconcile positions with back office, and manage currency transactions and hedge settlements.
Provide market commentary and trade recommendations to the VP of Sourcing and Risk Management; support monthly risk management activities.
